Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 March 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before engaging Neil Maurice Appliances ("we", "us", or "our") for any appliance repair service. By booking a repair or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services

Neil Maurice Appliances provides residential appliance repair services across Greater Melbourne, including but not limited to dishwashers, electric ovens, electric cooktops, washing machines, range hoods, microwaves, and televisions. We reserve the right to decline a service request at our discretion.

2. Bookings and Appointments

Bookings can be made via our website contact form or by phone. We will confirm your appointment within 1 business hour. We endeavour to provide same-day or next-day service where possible, subject to availability.

Please ensure someone 18 years or older is present at the property during the repair visit.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • A service call and diagnostic fee applies to all visits. This fee covers travel and a full assessment of your appliance.
  • If you proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee is typically waived or applied toward the total cost.
  • All pricing is confirmed before any repair work begins. We do not proceed with work without your explicit approval.
  • Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Warranty

All completed repairs are covered by:

  • 12-month warranty on parts supplied by Neil Maurice Appliances.
  • 6-month warranty on labour performed.

Warranties are void if the appliance is tampered with by another party after our repair, subjected to misuse, or damaged by external causes such as power surges or flooding.

5. Parts

We use genuine OEM parts wherever possible. In some cases, quality aftermarket parts may be used. We will inform you of the parts being used prior to the repair.

6. Cancellations

We ask that you provide at least 2 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to provide adequate notice or to be present at the time of the appointment may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the service call fee.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law, Neil Maurice Appliances is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a repair service is limited to the amount paid for that specific repair.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, unrelated appliance failures, or damage caused by the appliance itself during or after the repair.

8. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the appliance and the fault.
  • Ensure the appliance is accessible and the working area is safe and clear.
  • Inform us of any known hazards at the property.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The date of the most recent revision is displayed at the top of this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
